Post #10-Conclusion of I, Q-Independence Hall and the Start of Hunger Games SPOILER!!!!!

In the past week I have finished I, Q Independence hall and started The Hunger games. Independence hall was a great book! All the mystery and adventure did not come to a conclusion at the end of the book, it is just at the climax of the book!! I got so mad when I could not read it further! Then I found out that the second book is coming out later this month, so I will be eager to get my hands on that. Meanwhile I have started the Hunger games, and it seems to be really good, but it is a dark story with what I've read so far.
Angela and Quest are being followed by terrorists, but that will not stop Angela from finding out if her mom is still alive. Quest and Angela manage to get out of their coach without Boone and his crew knowing, but there is one problem, Eben and his crew are hot on their trail as they go to meet Malak (Angela's mom). Angela knows she is being followed, as they meet a policeman on a bench. Turns out that policeman, should be working with Eben, but he is really working as a assistant to Malak. As soon as they are on their way, Eben stopped them dead in their tracks, holds down Quest and threatens to kill him. But luckily Boone has come, and he has come with a pistol. Angela and Quest finally gets to meet Malak, but they don't get to stay longer thatn Malak explaining that she is taking place for her sister that actually died at Independence hall all those years ago. The terrosist have a plan to maybe take the presidents life and Malak has to stop it. She sais she will contact them soon. Angela and Quest have found them self at the White House beacuase of the Fame of their parents. But they will find themselves in the Oval Office at 3am and the rest will have to wait until the second book.
Katniss and his sister Prim are living in a harsh society in district 12. Any sign of rebellion or crime means death. Every year all twelve districts send 1 boy and 1 girl to fight to the death in an arena. During the cermony, Katniss's sister prim gets picked to be one of them. Katniss can't believe it, out of thousands of people his sister gets picked, so without thinking he takes her place. Now Katniss has nothing to look forward to at all.

Post #9- I,Q book 1- Independence hall- 205 pages through SPOILER!!!!!

I have really enjoyed this book so far. It is the perfect kind of book that I like. The mystery, suspense, and the adventure are all perfectly combined in this book. I'm not finished, but I'm just getting to the climax of the story, and I have no idea of what will happen next. It is a great book if you like spies, secret service, and terrorists combined for a lot of fun action.
Angela's Dad and Q's Mom are just married and the family is off to go on the parents nationwide tour. They meet a roadie named boon, but he is much more than a roadie, he is in a network of spies. Boone is really there to protect Angela and Q from a band of terrorists lead by a person named Eben who never really wanted to be a terrorist in the first place. Angela and Q are suspicious of that because Angela's mom was supposedly killed by terrorist many years ago. With Boon's help they examine some videos and realize that Angela mom may be far from dead. Angela is determinded to find out if her mother is still alive. That might be difficult with terrorists on their tail, ready to kill, Angela and Q are in a sticky situation and their parents don't even have a clue yet. Stay tuned until next week.

The Compound-Post #8 SPOILER ALERT!!
This book has to be one of the best books I've ever read!! (Thanks Ms. Pietrzak), it just kept me reading the whole time and I couldn't put it down. I liked the whole plot of the story and how it was so foreign and new to me. The suspense built up more and more as the story unfolded and came out to a suprising ending that I could of never predicted. I had to tell the whole story, I could not stop typing!! Sorry it is so long!
Eli and his family are in an underground compound worth millions and millions of dollars. Do you know why? It is because the U.S. got into a nuclear war and the whole area was wiped out, or at least that is Eli's dad's story. Eli's dad is a billionaire and could afford to get anything he wants, when he wants it. So Eli's two sisters Lexie and Terese got safley into the compound, but not his twin brother Eddy and his sister Gram didn't. So after years in the Compound and their food shortage starting to run low, Eli decides he want to get a little nosy and look around the compound. Eli finds something, his brothers old laptop and the Wireless connection was available! This is what led to Eli being really suspiscious and wondering how their could still be possible life out there. After a few tries a while later Eli did get the connection again. He noticed that his IM account was still active and typed in his username then befor he knows it he is in touch with Eddie!! But he is scared of his dad finding out about what hes doing so he shuts the computar down agian. Althoogh Eli has to tell someone what he has discovered and it has to be his mom. After an intense situation Eli's dad admits that he has made the family go into the compound for six years and there was no reason why he had really done this. (At this point I think Eli's dad is going crazy!) Eli wants to escape the Compound but his dad refuses. Eli has figured out the code and has made his way to the hatch of the compound and he has finally gotten out of the compound. But an alarm goes off and it will make the compound blow up in a matter of minutes!! Eli gathers the family and starts running out of the compound and the oppisiste way of the compound. The family can feel the compoud exploding underneath their feet and soon the family can't run anymore and they are saved by a helicopter with Eddy and Gram in it. Eli's dad never made it out though, and they will never know what happened to him. But Eli's family will go on to enjoy a nice long vacation.

Page 86-finish of the boy in the striped pajamas. SPOILER ALERT!!-The Second Paragraph!!!!
This book may have to be one of my favorites of all time. That is because how it was written, not full of action, just interesting conversations throughout the book. The whole book seemed pretty inocent and normal with the focus on Bruno and Shmuel's conversations. That is until the end when the book had an amzing way of leaving me unsettled and thinking about what just happened. I even had to read the last chapter again to catch all the detail!
I left off when Bruno felt like leaving Out-With. But one day Bruno decides to go exploring so he could leave his new boring house and as he walks for over an hour he notices a dot in the distance. It turns to a blob, a figure, and then a little boy. This boy is the first one he has seen since he has been in the town Out-With. Bruno is completely unaware what a concentration camp is, so he thinks Shmuel lives in a happy go lucky town that wears striped pajamas. Shmuel and Bruno start having conversations everyday. They both enjoy that because neither really has a friend besides each other now. Bruno is interested of what is on the other side of the fence, but Shmuel insists that he would hate it. (Shmuel knows what is going on at his camp, but he does not want to tell Bruno the Brutal truth.) Shmuel and Bruno talked together almost every afternoon for a year; except on days with. bad weather conditions Although Bruno's mom is having the least joy out of this place they have moved to. She argued with Bruno's dad heavily proclaming that "this is not the place to raise children". Mom did get her way, and now they are moving back to Berlin. But the problem is that his dad has to stay here in Out-With. Bruno's sister Gretel is very excited about leaving, but Bruno didn't remember anything about home, and he was unsure about leaving his new best friend Shmuel. Bruno has to leave regardless though. So after Bruno tells him the bad news, the boys dream up an adventure. An adventure where BRuno goes to the other side of the fence to help Shmuel find his papa. So he does that but as Bruno arrives at the camp, it is a lot worse that Bruno ever thought of, and he is wondering why his kind dad would run such a brutal place. But at that very time the Jews (along with Bruno) are marched into a big airtight chamber; the showers. But as Bruno and Shmuel are holding hands, being eachother's best friend forever. There is a release of gas in the room, gasps and screams ring through the air. Bruno is never seen or heard from again.

Post #6 Pages 0-86 in The Boy in the Striped pajamas-SPOILER

I like this book so far, because Bruno is in a weird situation that he does not like. It will be interesting to see how he deals with it.
Bruno is living in a wealthy family with a big, big house in Berlin. Bruno get everything he wants until one day. The family decides to move out of Berlin to a small town called Outwith. Bruno has never experienced something that he did not want to do. He argued with his father yelling saying he wanted to go home but it was no use. In the small town in the middle of nowhere there are people camped in huts outside Bruno's window that appear to be prisoners. Bruno is meeting new people in this town and he is starting to feel a little better. Bruno is still wondering why his really nice and caring father brought them to this place. His father said it was the best thing for the family, but Bruno is thinking of running away because nothing good is going on for him.

As he is getting ready to go to sleep he realizes his phone is in the hallway so he gets up to get it. He swears he hears footstep though and he soon hears yelling from his parents room. The next thing he know he sees the killer face to face, the murderer of the Daine family. Brian's dad comes into the hallway with a shotgun yelling get out of the way Brian!!! The killer gets shot by Brian's dad bet he is very much alive. Brian runs and reaches for the murderer's gun and he gets it, but the killer still has a spare gun in his jacket. Two gun fires go off at the same time, the killer dies instantly but the questioon is, where did Brian get hit. The ambulance comes to the house and Brian isnt sure if he is dead or not. Brian starts to have a feeling that he is starting to go to heaven but then the medical person said he was getting his blood pressure back, and it turns out Brian will live, with only a shot that knicked his lung . Post #4, The perfect shot pgs. 235-330 (Hint read my first 3 posts to understand this one)

I have really liked this book, the story has built and built over the time I've read it. It has just been really exciting.
Brian has been working hard on his book project for a long time now. He finally presents it for a grade. He is nervous, but everything goes well, until the end. Julius get pointed out by another student for being arrested. That led to Julius getting in a fight with the student and getting suspended.
After a game with out Julius, comes the biggest game of the year. They are facing Jackson High Generals. This team are their biggest rival in the state and if they win, they will go to the state championship. The team is not looking good at all, Julius is hogging the ball and the team is seeming to forget how to score. But at half time Brian talks with the team and shows them why there is a 25 point deficet and how far they have come and they can't be beaten now. Brian's team comes out in the second half like they could beat the New York Nicks. Brian is the captain and he is showing the team the right way to play. All this time Brian's team have been fighting hard to catch up with the generals. Now it is 88-87 generals, Julius slaps the ball away and passes it down court gets to Brian, then Julius, looks like he will take the shot, but he passes it to an open player named shooter. He goes up, takes the shot as the buzzer rings, the gym is silent... SWOOSH!!! Is the bueatiful sound of the net contacting the ball.
The game has gotten the whole town filled with joy on the 90-88 win, every house on the block is lit up and cheering when Brian arrives home.
